10th Annual Charles Sumner Memorial National Racking Show A SUCCESS!!
Thank you to all the participants that came out and enabled the 10th Annual Charles Sumner Memorial National Racking Show to be such a success!
On June 11th the dark clouds rolled in and everyone gathered at the Gilmer County Saddle Club prayed the rain would hold off just a little longer. Luck was on our side as the clouds blew past making way for a beautiful summer night.
So many beautiful horses were present making it hard, I’m sure, for the judge to make a decision.
Bingham Freelance Photography was also on site to capture the beauty of the horse’s and riders as they Racked On. Please visit their website to see some of the highlights of the night —- http://www.binghamfreelance.com/

Back Country Horsemen of North Georgia (BCHNG) is hosting its 4th Annual Benefit Ride
From: Carol Martel, Back Country Horsemen of North GA
“We invite trail riders who enjoy the horse trails on our country’s beautiful National and State Forests and Parks to join us for this very enjoyable and worthwhile trail riding weekend. This annual event supports the efforts of Back Country Horsemen to help save and maintain equestrian trails on public lands, a cause so important to all of us who trail ride.
We have many riders from across the Southeast already signed up. To achieve our goal of engaging more recreational trail riders in maintaining and enjoying the trails, we are asking saddle clubs in our region to help us get out the word and encourage their members to attend and participate.
Attached is a flyer with details about the weekend at East Fork Stables and how to register (800-978-7245 or 931-879-1176).
If you ride horse trails on public lands in your area, we hope you will join us to support a good cause, ride some beautiful trails and just plain have fun with other avid trail riders.
I look forward to seeing you and other members of your saddle club at East Fork in April!
