Year end Awards will be given out around 3pm.

The 2015 Charles Sumner Memorial Racking Horse show will be held Saturday June 13 at 6:oo pm. This is a The National Racking Horse Association (NRHA) event that is great fro riders and spectators alike. So bring the family and come enjoy a night of fun with Gilmer County Saddle Club and the NRHA.
As March draws to an end that means show season is just around the corner! The first fun show will be held April 11th at 1:00pm.

The 2014 show season is slowly drawing to an end. Our last show of the season will be held Saturday, October 25th and will begin at 1:00 pm. This is the annual Cancer Awareness fun show. The show is always fun and the money goes for a great cause! Don’t miss out on the cupcake race or any of the other fun events!
All members please plan to attend the November monthly meeting. At this meeting we will have our officer elections. The meeting will be held at 7:00 on November 20th. Meeting place is yet to be determined. Please check our Facebook page for latest updates.
As the show season comes to an end it is also time to think about the all around high point award. The Charles Sumner Perpetual Trophy is awarded annually by Ms Inez Sumner in memory of her late husband, Charles. This honor is bestowed to the individual who has accrued the most points during the show season. This award is open to riders of all disciplines and all ages. Points include any and all shows attended during the current season.
Point validation is the responsibility of the individual rider. A summary of all points is due to the GCSC show chairman no later than the November club meeting.
